INACTIVES: Lions at Bears
CHICAGO – As the Detroit Lions aim to break their three-game losing streak and conclude the season on a high note, they will be missing several crucial starters in their final matchup against the Chicago Bears today.
The Lions have announced that right tackle Penei Sewell (ankle), linebacker Alex Anzalone (concussion/personal issues), safety Thomas Harper (concussion), and defensive lineman Alim McNeill (abdomen) will not participate in this game, as indicated by Friday's injury report.
This matchup marks a significant moment for the Lions, as it will be the first time this season that neither Sewell nor Anzalone will be part of the active roster. In light of this absence, Detroit may look to Dan Skipper and Malcolm Rodriguez to step into these important positions within the starting lineup.
Among the four players classified as questionable for today’s game, only offensive lineman Kayode Awosika has been ruled inactive due to illness.
On a brighter note, left tackle Taylor Decker, guard Christian Mahogany, and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown are all set to play.
"I feel solid," St. Brown remarked on Thursday. "I might be a little banged up, but I’m good enough to go, and that’s what truly matters."
In addition to Sewell, Anzalone, McNeill, Harper, and Awosika being sidelined, wide receiver Dominic Lovett also finds himself inactive for today’s game in Chicago.
